Artist's Statement
My sculptures are organic abstractions. Their shapes and spaces, colours and textures retain the suggestivity of vital growth and responsiveness which the modern artscape cedes too readily to sexualized symbol and its assumed imperatives. Stone, with the protean and permanent expressivenesses taken from it, is tangible reässurance of an anteriorily emotive, anerotogenic, experience. Its substantiation builds a resonant fossil--record of unsullied sensual evolution.
Sculpting Process
My process eschews the imposition of image for a gentler dialogue
between maker and medium, necessary sensitivity to which requires that
work be almost entirely by file, riffler and hand.
