2005 concluded as mostly a "business year". Although I was uncomfortable with being away from my sculpting for such a long time, it was a huge relief to complete the items on my growing list of administrative tasks. Among the tasks were ones which have no noticeable effect to anyone other from myself (such as converting all of my files to an open-source format), and ones which were long overdue (such as deepening my knowledge of the history of sculpture).
I did find time to complete one sculpture, Untitled Alabaster #4, out of alabaster. I am very happy with the results, and am eager to continue working on alabaster this year. I have started the year with a renewed commitment to sculpting, and am deeply satisfied by it.
