New Studio And Open House

This has been a few weeks in the making: I have been approved for a studio at Globe Studios in Kitchener, and will be moving in next month. They are having an open house from May 23-25, so the past few days have been spent in preparation for the move and the event... and more work needs to be done yet! I'm extremely happy to join Globe, because their artists are great and very involved in the community.

Here are the details of the open house:

Gallery working again!

After many hours of work, the gallery is working again. Some of the URLs have been regenerated and are different from the originals, so I'll need to do a bit of work on the back-end to get the redirection working properly. If you notice any problems, please let me know.

Website Technical difficulties

I'm having some technical difficulties with the gallery portion of my website at the moment, so I've had to disable it temporarily while I try to get that resolved.

You can view highlights of my work on the ISC Sculptor Directory.

The gallery will be functional again ASAP.

Website Move

I have made TransientWaters.net my online home for nearly six years, but now it is time to move somewhere more enduring.

This, http://sculpture.juliannayau.com , is the new website for my sculptures. My email address, which can be found on the contact page , has also changed.

Cheers.

Julianna

New Ventures

I have joined the Board of Directors for CARFAC Ontario. It is currently an interim position, and I have the opportunity to stand for election at our Annual General Meeting this fall.

A Revised Nomenclature

Please read A Revised Nomenclature for information regarding the new references for sculptures.

New Art-related Project

I have recently been working on a project to develop free, open-source applications for artists and artists' groups. This project has finally launched! For more information, visit the new website at e-eAsel.org.

Artwork on Display in March

I have confirmed that my sculptures will be on display at the Williams Coffee Pub in Kitchener (340 Fairway Road South) for the month of March as part of a new opportunity organized by Brush with Art.

2005 In Summary

2005 concluded as mostly a "business year". Although I was uncomfortable with being away from my sculpting for such a long time, it was a huge relief to complete the items on my growing list of administrative tasks. Among the tasks were ones which have no noticeable effect to anyone other from myself (such as converting all of my files to an open-source format), and ones which were long overdue (such as deepening my knowledge of the history of sculpture).
