Open House Afterthoughts

This past weekend was a long and enjoyable one. I'm very happy with the turnout at the open house, and am energized by all the great people I met. On Friday night, my studio was bustling with people. That night, I also made two sales—Alabaster #3 and Alabaster #8 have been sold into the same collection as Soapstone #5.

On Saturday, I started to do some more work on Alabaster #15, but there was a steady stream of people, so I gave up after a while. It simply didn't seem like I was being a good hostess by hunching over my workbench instead of engaging the visitors. I'm eager to get #15 completed soon, because someone who visited on Friday has already claimed it, and I can tell she wants it soon!

Sunday was a slow day because it was the first warm day we had in such a long time. But that didn't stop us from having a good time! Shawna Morrisette did a bisque firing, and later had a great time with Nii Addico with some double drum action.

I'm looking forwards to getting much work done in the next two weeks, and to Celebrate Our Artists Weekend from June 6-8. There are some events in town I would like to attend that weekend, so I will only be at my studio from noon until 4pm on the 8th.
